Last Day in Cambodia – Buddhas and Temples

Our last day in Cambodia. We had to see more temples, buddhas and a temple in the same area as Angkor Wat, The Tomb Raider Temple. This is where Tomb Raider was shot.

Our driver drove around and told us what he knew about the different places. First stop was a Newer Temple, where monks live today. We where met by poor children begging for 1 dollar. A nicely dressed monk talking about the weather changes now days and a landmine victim begging for money outside the Temple. ALSO, outside the park we saw a small house with skulls. These are victims from the Pol Pot period.

Everything is so breathtaking. Difficult to describe. Pictures tells you more. If you want to know more, google it :)

After our visit to this Temple we went to see the Tomb Raider Temple.

The Journey:

When I was walking around by myself I saw a boy standing alone. He looked at me, and just stood there for a while. I took a quick picture, and then he told me to follow him. He ran and I followed. And he showed me the places to take pictures, where I was free from crazy tourists.

And after saying goodbye to my personal guide I saw this sjarming old man making this piece. He had a small knife and he handmade this on a buffalohorn.  I asked if it was for sale, but he said he had to work one more month until it was finnish. It will be beautiful!
